Why Nepal Hydropower Database ? 

The need for a Nepali hydropower database has long been felt by planners, consultants, researchers, manufacturers etc. working in the hydropower industry. Since its formation, NHA has been approached by many seeking different information about hydropower in Nepal. Examples include:

• international companies looking for local expertise – hydrologists, tunnel engineers etc.
• students researching subjects on hydropower.
• His Majesty's Government of Nepal seeking advice on general consensus on various water resources and hydropower policies and other elated matters.
• funding agencies.
• insurance companies.
• private hydropower entrepreneurs seeking information on consultants, manufacturers or suppliers.

NHA has endeavored to compile such a database for information on benefit for all interested groups and individuals. The database will be compiled and printed in the form of a directory. It will also become available online.
